Once upon a time, a long time ago in a land far far away......Ok, so maybe not that long ago and not that far away, two people fell in love. They got married. Soon after, they found out that they were going to add a little princess to their kingdom. On Thanksgiving day they welcomed their precious princess into the world and their lives have never been the same. The road has not always been paved with gold, but it is an adventure that they all love to share together. Here is a little bit about each member of our darling little Kingdom of Pavlik.......
"Odie" has proudly served with the US Air Force since 2001. He grew up in "the back woods" of New Jersey. He is a fun loving, goofy kind of guy. His passions include working with youth programs, tinkering with the race cars in my parent's backyard, and of course his job. He has driven ( and wrecked) one race car so far and enjoys being on the pit crew for my dad at the local track. He loves collecting pens, playing the Wii and PS3 systems, and tossing a football with his boston terrier, Vic Mackey in the backyard. He volunteers as much as his schedule allows and loves to give back to the community.
"Mom" (the main author) is currently a Domestic Management Specialist. To say that I am a "housewife" or even a "stay at home mom" would be a gross understatement. I am an Army brat and have lived quite a few places in my life but I like to call Florida my home. I am a hyper, bubbly, zany person who happens to have OCD and ADD. I love to scrapbook and take pictures. I also love crafting, altering things and making things personally our own. I try to make everyday tasks into adventures and exploring all that the world has to offer. I am also an avid reader and love clipping and using coupons and seeking out the best deal possible on everything.
"Booter" is the absolute center of our world. She has only lived here in Hampton Roads but has visited much of the East Coast. She is always listening to music and singing. Her favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Selena Gomez, and any of the songs sung on Glee. She aspires to be a fashion designer, singer and actress when she grows up. She loves drawing, playing with her Liv dolls and Squinkies, and of course playing with her precious pooch, Pandora. She drinks Starbucks (decaf of course), carries a Vera Bradley purse ( covets Coach), and loves to play with the apps on her iPod touch. She is also a very caring and compassionate person, often participating in charity events and conservation practices. An all around American princess.
Victory Mackey, a.k.a. "Vic Mackey," is the only other guy that poor Odie has in the house at the moment. Vic is a 6 year old Boston Terrier on the outside with a rambunctious 3 year old little boy trapped on the inside. He loves to give kisses, can jump 6 feet in the air, and watches tv with us. He loves going for car rides, chasing bubbles and footballs in the backyard, and swimming. He says a few words like "Momma," "mine," "No," "num nums," and "buh-bye." He is a lover and will be affectionate to everyone who comes in the house but he is also very protective of "Booter", Panda and his backyard. He is such a character and I don't think our family would be complete without him.
That is the entire Pavlik Clan that dwells within the walls of the castle but that is far from everyone in our Kingdom. There are frequent visits to see "Grandma," "Grandpa-kins," "Nanny," "Speed Racer," and the Mouse family of pugs who live close by.
"Speed Racer" is my nephew who often joins us on our adventures. He is 9 years old and is more like a brother to "Booter" than a cousin. He loves race cars, Lego's, Star Wars, and playing video games. He is on Grandpa-kin's pit crew at the race track and loves learning about the scientific aspects of racing and aerodynamics. He hopes to someday be among the elite drivers of NASCAR or a pilot.
